I recently purchased an LG washer and dryer from Appliance Outlet North Houston. My salesperson was Rusty.
While I am satisfied with the performance of the washer and dryer so far, I was disappointed with several aspects of the overall purchasing experience.
First, I left the store believing I was purchasing the same model I had seen on the showroom floor. The unit I viewed had features that stood out to me, including the digital display and covered detergent and fabric softener compartments. During the sales process, I was shown information on a computer and ultimately purchased the LG 8400 series. After the purchase, I realized the showroom model I had been looking at was actually the LG 8600 series.
To add to the confusion, another salesperson later informed me that there are warranty differences between the two models. I don’t feel the differences in features, model numbers, and warranty coverage were clearly explained during the sales process. Had I fully understood those differences, I would have liked the opportunity to make a more informed decision before completing my purchase.
I was also told that my appliances would be delivered the next day. However, the delivery did not occur as promised and was pushed back an additional day. While a one-day delay may not seem significant, it was inconvenient because I had planned my schedule around the delivery date that was originally provided.
Again, my concern is not with the LG washer and dryer themselves, as they have performed well. My concern is with the communication surrounding the sale, the explanation of the different models and warranties, and the missed delivery commitment.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that management will improve communication and customer expectations throughout the sales and delivery process. Customers making a major appliance purchase deserve clear information and accurate timelines so they can make confident decisions.
Thank you.
