Called for service, and they sent someone who came and ran a “test” that completely destroyed our washing machine. They claim that this is the manufacturer’s fault because they are just following the manufacturer’s instructions. They said they can fix it with parts that are on back order for weeks, if not longer. I don’t really care whose fault it is. The fact is, the side of my washer is literally protruding out like a large animal was trying to get out of it. It was not like that before their service person arrived. They suggested that WE call the manufacturer to deal with this, and suggested they were doing us a favor by ordering parts to fix it. Bonkers. Oh, and they don’t answer the phone at Johnson Brothers so don’t even try.

So it was time to clean the A/C fins or slats of any crud - make it as efficient as possible for summer. I open the top, vacuum out leaves and debris, sprayed cleaner and washed it out. Yay. While I had already dragged the shop vac out to that corner of the house I thought I would clean out the dryer vent as well. Doing ok. Then I moved inside and pulled the dryer away from the wall to get at the inside of the vent. There was lint all over the floor and wall. The Johnson Brothers installers never put a clamp on the vent tubing to the dryer. They just pushed the dryer up to the vent, never secured it with a clamp, and called it good. This was similar to a Johnson Brothers install on a new Bosch dishwasher. The installer drilled a new hole in my cabinets and placed an electric box under my kitchen sink, rather than behind the dishwasher where the box was originally placed. When I called Johnson Brothers to ask why was this install so bizarre I was told, "well code lets us do it that way." They obviously didn't share my concern - electric box, tossed under the kitchen sink. Oh, and the installer told me, after he finished the install, that there were lots of mouse droppings behind the dishwasher. Why didn't he let me know this when everything was open and I could bring in a vac for a couple minutes? I wanted to buy locally so I purchased the washer and dryer and then later the dishwasher from Johnson Brothers. Both installs were crap. I'm heading to Ace Hardware tomorrow to get the clamp I need. I'm a 75 year old woman who has to move appliances, clean up after Johnson Brothers, and finish this install myself. Never again.

Scott did a wonderful job of servicing our washing machine this morning. He showed up on time, explained clearly what might be causing the issue, fully examined the machine and ran tests. He determined what it was and advised us on what to in the future to prevent any problems. We are extremely pleased with Johnson Brothers sales team and their service department.

Unfortunately I can’t leave a good review for Johnson Brothers. I have bought a quality dishwasher here in the past and they got it delivered in a timely fashion, but my good experience ends there. I purchased a washer and dryer set from them about two years ago and had nothing but issues with the set from the moment I brought them home. I had to have them repaired multiple times, and about two months after the warranty expired the washing machine died completely- it was just over a year old. I work full time, have two little kids at home and my husband is disabled so I have constant laundry to do, and it began piling up immediately. Considering the fact that they sold me a lemon, I asked Johnson Brothers to replace the washer with any model that ran. It could be a floor model, second hand, anything that runs. They refused, citing that the warranty had run out, despite the fact that the machine never ran properly and they knew that. They claim their “goal is to exceed your expectations” but they didn’t even meet my most basic expectations of business integrity and they lost me as a customer for life. Thanks to Johnson Brothers disinterest in solving this problem they created for me by selling me a sub-par product, I had to find a second hand washer, rent a truck, go move that washer into my house and hook it up, take the faulty washer to the dump, and make a full-day trip to the laundromat to handle the huge back-up of laundry that happened while I did those things. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else!
