I am deeply disappointed to say that after years of purchasing every appliance I’ve ever owned from Baillio’s / Builder’s Source / Appliance Liquidators (all owned under the same parent company) and using Dalton Services for delivery and setup, I will never purchase from them again.
This year, we spent thousands on a high-end refrigerator. The salesman, Andy, was professional, helpful, and answered all of my questions. Unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ended.
Just over two weeks later, the refrigerator was finally delivered — only for us to discover that the ice maker did not work at all. I called the very next morning to report the issue and was referred to Dalton Services, who told me the earliest they could come inspect it was another week later. This was especially frustrating because we have a large event this weekend and specifically needed the refrigerator — including a working ice maker — ready to go.
When I called back to follow up, hoping for help, my call was answered by a salesperson named Jason. What followed was the rudest customer service interaction I have ever experienced. As I began calmly explaining the situation, he sharply interrupted me and said he “didn’t need a lecture,” and told me to simply leave my name and number. I explained that I wasn’t upset with him personally — I was only trying to explain what had happened — but he continued to be dismissive, insulting, and shockingly unprofessional.
What should have been a simple conversation handled with basic courtesy became unnecessarily stressful because of his attitude.
When customers spend significant money on high-end appliances, they expect working products, reasonable service timelines, and respectful treatment when problems arise. Sadly, this company failed on all three.
Do yourself a favor: save yourself the stress, frustration, and expense — shop somewhere else.
