My wife and I were in need of a new refrigerator and microwave. A friend suggested that I check out Orville’s. When we arrived at the store we were immediately greeted by one of the associates named Evan. He showed us all the different brands of appliances. We settled on a matching set and began the process of purchasing. During the process Evan pushed the quality and service of the delivery drivers and installers (and of course all the little things that begin to push the price up even further). We agreed to have both delivered and installed by their “trusty” outside contractors. Delivery finally arrived a few weeks later. On the day of delivery we were consistently updated on the driver’s whereabouts (so far, so good right right?). First came the microwave…Our installer Dave brought himself, his assistant and all his tools to get the job done. As I was watching out of the corner of my eye, he seemed to be struggling with the template that confirm the holes to that on the appliance. Well, Dave drilled each of the holes incorrectly. When I asked if there was a problem, he advised me that this has been a problem the last 4 TIMES he has done this. I thought to myself that he didn’t think to double check his markings twice? He then proceeded to drill another set of holes that got the unit in its place, but looking at it, it was not centered. I immediately called Evan back to let him know of the situation. He advised me to take photos and send them to his supervisor, which I did. I was told not to worry and that it would be fixed. Next came the second set of delivery and installers for the oven. That is correct two different teams for each appliance. No complaints about these two gentlemen, they were amazing at getting everything in and cleaned up. I happened to mention my experience with Dave and they just nodded and said, “Yeah, we know about him”. Bummer that I didn’t….Anyway, back to the photos. No follow up for 5 days. I called Evan. He apologized and said unfortunately he was only sales and couldn’t help much and I needed to call a separate number where my pictures ended up(of course, you made the sale and got the commission already, what was I thinking). I called the number given and spoke to Bonnie. I let her know of the problem and the pictures I had taken. She acted as if she knew nothing of it. Ok, well I can see where this was going. She said she would send an installer out to take a look. We agreed on a date and that was that. On the day they were expected, I was alerted around noon that the driver was to be expected between 6pm and 9pm. Wait, what? I then had the option to decline and reschedule through a chatbot named “Jenny”. Once that was completed, I was advised that I would get a call within the hour to reschedule. That never happened. What did happen was the constant updates of when I could expect the driver….To end this long winded story, the installer pulled into the driveway at 9pm. When I opened the door, Dave was in the driver seat. Now remember, Dave is the main character of the story and the one who created this mess in the first place…Dave made eye contact through the van window and immediately backed out and drove away. You just can’t make this stuff up.. Installer Dave (who works out of the Rochester NY location) is useless, and Bonnie is not far behind.Looks like my only option was to leave this review and let others know…
