OTR: Follow Truck Route. Overnight parking onsite.  NO Truck Stop parking nearby. No Parking on the side street. Gated facility: use intercom to call the S & R office for entry.  There are plenty of signs to direct route. Open:  24/7.  There are plenty of signs to direct route.  Disorganized location. If Drop and Hook, First Come, first serve (FCFS). If Live Unload/Load, FOLLOW scheduled appointment time. You will be here for long time. May unload / load early on same day appointment.  Busy location. Limited space, but manageable to maneuver.  Good lighting at this location. Have pickup / delivery details (+ #). The bathroom is available next to the S & R office.   Tandems to the rear.  Must have Hi-Visibilty vest.  Pets allowed, but they must remain in the truck.

I purchased a high end washer/ dryer combo just under two years ago. I bought them from a reputable dealer I’d worked with for over 30 years. Earlier this week the washer stopped mid run and the door lock wouldn’t unlock. The repair person said the mother board and locking mechanism were defective. Estimated repair cost: $800.00. GE sold its trademark to a Chinese company and I’ve heard a number of complaints. The service technician I’ve used for years won’t service them anymore. He said they’re not even remotely as well built as they used to be. Buyer beware: buy American like Whirlpool. But stay away from GE. Such a shame.

Subject: Buyer Beware – Major Failure on New GE Washer + Quality Concerns CAUTION: DO NOT BUY GE APPLIANCES IF YOU EXPECT LONGEVITY OR QUALITY. I purchased a brand-new GE washer (Model GFW655SSV0WW) on March 28, 2024, and just seven months later, it completely failed. The washer stopped working entirely and required a Main Electronic Control Panel replacement, costing me $420 out of pocket. This is absolutely unacceptable for a new appliance. I’ve always had good results with GE in the past and even purchased four other GE appliances at the same time, based on that trust. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that the workmanship and reliability of GE products have significantly declined. A major component like the control panel should not fail this early in the product’s life cycle. It raises serious concerns about the quality and durability of GE’s current appliance line. I am requesting that GE review this case and offer reimbursement or compensation for the repair cost. Buyers beware—you may be investing in appliances that won’t last and will cost you dearly in repairs. I expected better from GE, and I hope the company takes responsibility and addresses this issue appropriately.

I purchased a front load washer from GE 17 months ago. After about 1 year problems with the door lock and water emptying from the drum started. Following advice from the product manual, I was able to keep the washer going with intermittent issues. After one time when the water didn't empty, I hired a plumber to make sure the water line was clear which it was. In late August the manual and on-line tips to get the door lock to release failed, I called GE for help. I was assured of their support and FREE repair of my washer despite it now being out of warranty. After several weeks and two service calls, the washer was deemed unrepairable. Then I made 3 more calls to GE who said each time that I would receive a call back but NEVER did they call back within the time promised. One month after I first sought help from GE, the DEAL they offered was to pay for the same model washer delivered and installed for about half of the original purchase price, I declined the offer because the original product was not good and their customer service is worse. Why would I want to pay anything for another GE applicance!

Order placed 12/28/2021 AJ Madison – Order # 144811375 We (Ryan & Jay) ordered entire suite of appliances for new home being built. Refrigerator, Double Oven Gas Range, Dishwasher Over range convection oven. Delivery requested for March 17th to enclosed garage.ordered early to make sure we had the appliances due to covid delays appliances arrived separate shipments next few weeks. were able to unbox/install appliances cosmetic msg noticed. Wednesday June 22nd, received approval from GE to repair the damage from the factory/shipping. provider the ticket sent to was A&E Factory Service ON SEPTEMBER 4, 2022 – THE REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER COMPLETELY WENT OUT. In case you need help doing the math, That’s ONLY 74 days since it was plugged in for the 1st time!!!! We reached out to GE on this occasion as it’s their product. GE sent a service request in for the failure, also to A&E Factory Service. 09/07/2022 - A&E Factory Service reached out and left us a voice mail to get more information.left a message with number said for us to text.returned call shortly after left voicemail advising of the issues left our call back #. never receivedfollow up, we sent text. No response. 2nd text sent still no follow up 09/14 A&E Factory Service technician arrives.they arrive, only have 1 service ticket NOTHING on the complete failure of refrigerator! On top of that, he said he was there to repair an ice maker ice maker was never issue nothing was repaired on 09/14’s appointment. service tech did request parts be ordered. We have expressed disappointment with GE.The fact that we are living out of coolers, lost food, daily cooking is a chore. This is a high-end appliance, I expect it to work more than 2 months IF issue were to happen have it remedied with urgency! We understand that there are still supply chain issues and can live with a cosmetic defect until parts are available. I do not expect to be without a fridge month or more because of a bad compressor and lack of communication by your service providers and GE!reached out to customer service, filed a complaint online via GE website only to receive robotic computer-generated responses : “I know how frustrating it can be when a product fails to operate properly or fails to meet your expectations.” We’ve spoken to countless representatives, on hold for hours, not an hour, HOURS at a time on each call discussing, re-telling the story over and over and NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE! I spoke to “our case manager” April – explained and re-iterated our frustrations. We are living out of coolers in our brand-new home, spread all over our brand-new kitchen. Lost and continue to lose food weekly. April said she would be in touch with A&E to get this resolved and was sending 2 checks to us. One for $100.00 for lost food and the second check for $200.00 for us to buy a mini fridge to hold us over until repairs or replacement could happen. Yes! A college dorm room mini fridge to sit in the middle of our brand-new house and kitchen!!! When we spent almost $10,000 on an appliance package. $3350.00 of that being for the broken refrigerator. We received the 1st check for $100.00 about a week later, the second check has still not come. Although, we have already made the out-of-pocket purchase of the mini fridge. Just a fridge, A MINI FRIDGE, AND NO FREEZER. So, there’s another service failure from GE.! The least you’d think GE would do is honor that commitment We have spent hours, each of us full days at this point if you add up all the time and still have NO FRIDGE! Only a couple of months old. 74 days to be exact. It’s also been 32 days and counting since we have had NO refrigerator and have been stuck in the middle of GE, service providers and NOBODY CARES!
