Mike's Appliance

I purchased a GE washer from Mike’s Appliances in Pinole. I do not recall ever having experienced worse customer service. First off, the delivery personnel did not confirm that the washer was working when they installed it at a cost of $125 and had to return to uncrimp the hoses in the back.The washer developed serious issues loudly clunking, wobbling, moving on the floor, even moving the dryer over, and twisting everything tightly around the agitator. Mike’s replaced some balancing parts which did not fix the issues. I sent detailed email with pictures of twisted sheets and duvet covers to them. Mike came out, did not touch the washer, made no attempt to determine what was wrong with it or repair it but took it away leaving me without a washer. He emphatically stated he would not bring me a replacement machine under the warranty and left me scrambling to buy another elsewhere which I did. He refunded purchase price plus tax but charged me 3% credit card fee for the return as if I had changed my mind on the purchase. I was left with $155 out of pocket for delivery and credit card fee for the privilege of doing business with Mike’s. A most unpleasant experience. I repurchased the same make and model, btw, which works flawlessly.

Purchasing from Mike’s Appliance is the best appliance experience we‘ve ever had. They helped us replace the 1980’s appliances in a condo we’re getting ready to sell. We went with their suggestions and everything they selected for us is absolutely perfect. They made the entire experience very easy and hassle free. Their prices are great, also. Couldn’t be happier! Loved my experience with Mike's Appliances. After my dryer stopped working, Albert came out and was able to quickly diagnose the issue and had everything up and running again in less than an hour. Everything from my initial call for an appointment to the in-house service was so seamless and I couldn't be more satisfied.

We moved to Pinole 40 years ago in 1985. I knew there was a place called Mike's Appliance in Pinole but never thought much about it. Recently we needed to replace our washing machine. We decided to try them since they are a local business and I decided that would be worthy of our support. We bought our new washer there and two young guys brought it out and installed it in about 30 seconds. They were so darn courteous and nice. As was the young lady who helped us with the purchase. They have both sales and repair. This is the only place we will use for all of our appliance needs while we were still alive. I would kick myself for not using this place more the last forty years. But if I tried at my age I would probably fall and break my hip. These guys are great.

First time customer and so happy with the service we received. Sadly, I originally ordered a dryer from Lowe’s. Was supposed to be delivered today, between 8am-12pm. I call to check on my delivery at 1:30pm, just to be told the delivery truck broke down and I would not receive my order today. More to that story, but I end up canceling my Lowe’s order and head to Mike’s. The exact Maytag gas dryer, in stock, purchased and brought home within an hour! Great family owned business! This will not be my last purchase from them. Thank you!
