WARNING : Horrible after-sales demeanor and completely useless installation service.
Albert Lee’s delivery team came to install my dishwasher, took one quick look at the opening, said the new dishwasher would not fit, and left within two minutes. They did not properly measure the space, remove the existing dishwasher, inspect the connections, or make any serious attempt to understand what adjustment was needed.
They charge $299 for installation, but apparently that only applies when the dishwasher can be slid into a perfectly cookie-cutter opening with zero effort. Most homes, especially older ones, may need minor leveling, trim, toe-kick, plumbing, or cabinet adjustments. That is exactly why customers pay for professional installation.
The attitude after the sale was dismissive and unhelpful. Once they had made the sale, there seemed to be no interest in actually solving the problem. I would not recommend Albert Lee to anyone.
**EDIT:** I ended up getting a standard-size Bosch 800 dishwasher installed by Frederick’s Appliance Center in Redmond for $150. They installed it perfectly. Yes, it took about 1.5 hours, but the important part is that they actually took the time to figure it out instead of looking at the existing dishwasher for two minutes, declaring that the new one wouldn’t fit, and leaving.
So, if you’re buying an appliance that needs to be retrofitted into an existing kitchen, I would not recommend this store. In my experience, you may end up wasting both your time and energy on something that a competent installer can actually solve.
I’d also recommend checking reviews across multiple platforms rather than relying only on Google. Yelp and other review sites gave me a much more mixed picture of this appliance store, which was closer to my own experience.
