Called Patriot Appliance & Air Conditioning to fix my AC that wasn’t cooling. Tech came 4 hours late and charged $150 just to tell me I need a whole new unit, without even checking the refrigerant or capacitor properly. Got a second opinion the next day — different company found a bad $20 part and had it running in 30 minutes. Felt like they were just pushing for a replacement instead of an actual repair. Won’t be using them again.

My HVAC fan broke over the weekend, and Paul was incredibly responsive. He made time to come out first thing Monday morning, quickly identified the issue, and came back later that same night with the replacement part. Throughout the whole process he was communicative, transparent about both the problem and the costs, and even took the time to share some tips on what to watch for in the future. Professional, friendly, and reliable. I hope I won't need HVAC repairs again anytime soon, but if I do, Paul is the first call I'm making.

absolutely amazing!!!! I had an AC unit that wasn't keeping the upstairs cool. Another local company came out and "found" had a huge list of items to be repaired that totaled over $6k. Including several items on the AC unit that wasn't having problems. This was in April so they were likely thinking they could scare me into it with summer quickly approaching. I told them I wanted a 2nd opinion, which annoyed them, but I'm glad I did. After Paul came out, not knowing what items the previous company identified, he gave me a quote that was 10x lower to repair 90% of the same items identified. Even with an upgraded UV light system for both AC units, the total repair/install/upgrade price was under $1k. Paul has earned my business from now on, and I recommend him whenever I hear ANYONE mention and AC unit they need repaired.
