Sorry for the longgg rant but I want to put out my experience and why I would never return and show how unprofessional these people are. I’ve been buying appliances from this business for years and never had any issues when it was run by the parents. Unfortunately, my recent experience has been completely different.
An appliance I purchased developed a large hole, making it unusable. The owner personally came to inspect it and told me, “Don’t worry, I’ll get you another one. We’ll figure something out, and you’ll only have to pay the delivery fee. I’ll keep you updated.” That update never came.
After waiting, I had to call myself, only to be given excuse after excuse and told they’d contact me when another appliance came in. Another week passed with no communication, so I called again. The employee who answered was incredibly unprofessional and repeatedly said, “I wasn’t there, so I don’t know,” which was not resolving the issue. I was then told I’d have to wait for a callback and they hung up on me while I was asking do they need my contact info. When I called back to address the situation and let them know it’s never acceptable to hang up on customers while running a business, they immediately denied hanging up. Then I asked if they needed my information since I had never given them my name. The response I got was, “I think the caller ID has it.” I’m sorry, but “I think” isn’t a reassuring answer when you’re dealing with a customer’s issue. You either know you have my information or you don’t. I even asked if they could verify it to avoid any problems when calling me back, and I was told, “I can’t while I’m on the phone.”
The level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic customer service throughout this entire experience was honestly unbelievable.
About an hour later, they called back and said the owner had changed his mind and that I would need to buy a completely new appliance. My question is: why wasn’t I told that from the beginning? Instead, I was told we’d work something out because the appliance they sold me was already damaged. Yes, it was outside the 60-day warranty, but the owner knew that when he made the statement to replace it for only the cost of delivery.
What bothered me the most was that the owner never spoke to me directly to explain why he changed his decision. Instead, he had someone else deliver the message like a scared child. If you’re going to do business with a customer, you should be willing to stand behind them. I should have went down there but you know what, i’m going to report this and never return. Karma gets those who plays mind games and with others time and money.
Thankfully, I have security cameras that recorded the entire conversation when the owner came to my home, so there is no confusion about what was said and try to get away with another lie.
I ended up buying a brand-new appliance elsewhere for about the same price, with a legitimate warranty and no runaround.
I won’t be doing business here again, and I can’t recommend them based on my experience. Save yourself the frustration, wasted time, and money, and consider shopping elsewhere.
