We ordered Café appliances for our house, and Vinnie (the sales agent) specifically told us they were open-box appliances arriving in perfect condition. Before purchasing, we clearly asked about scratches or damage, and he assured us multiple times that everything had been personally checked and was in excellent condition.
Once the appliances arrived, we realized that was not true at all. The fridge, dishwasher, range, and microwave all had scratches and cosmetic damage in different areas, even small parts with sign of rust.
After we reported everything and submitted photos/videos as evidence, he promised by email that replacement doors and handles would be shipped and that a technician would come to our house to replace everything (he will schedule it)
We waited around 3 months for the parts to finally arrive because he said it’s what it takes. Once they arrived, we contacted them again regarding the technician they had promised, and suddenly he claimed he never offered that service. When we mentioned that we had the email proving it, he changed his version again and said there were no technicians available in our area.
We’re sharing this simply as a warning for others because we don’t think it’s fair to mislead customers in order to make a sale. If they had been upfront from the beginning and said the appliances had scratches or cosmetic issues, we likely would not have complained because we would have known what to expect. But we specifically asked beforehand and were told they had no scratches and were in perfect condition.
