Paid for diagnostic to repair ice maker. They offered to install repair kit for $500 plus dollars but couldn’t say if that would likely solve the problem. Had conversation with the boss about letting customers know in advance when they may not have clarity about the cost of repair. He was receptive to the feedback.

Matt was my delivery/installation person today. He did an extremely excellent job, removing old appliance, cleaning floor space, attaching new electric cable, and sliding in new range/oven. When finished— in very efficient timing— he showed me various dials and left 30 minute trial cycle. Matt is clearly an excellent employee of Lane Appliance: knowledgeable, eager to explain things to customers, efficient, polite, friendly. I would unequivally recommend Matt for a higher position with Lane appliance. Thank you for this exceptional service. I am very happy I chose Lane Appliance to buy new gas range, over a “ big box” store. Sincerely, Dr. Gail Burke

I’m not sure how to feel about the service I received. I looked online and the original pricing for the consultation said ~$100 for a basic issue, ~$150 if it was more complicated issue/stacked dryer or something. I was fine with that. It was same day which was cool. My repair man was Daniel and he recognized it was a simple fix, the button on my dryer broke. So I’m thinking its gonna be ~$100 plus the repair fees and I’m being told its 150 for the repair. Not bad, i started discussing this with my partner and ask to speak with Daniel for a price break down. Daniel says okay the price seems to be an issue, how about $120? Im thinking okay that’s great you’ll fix the issue and the coming out altogether was $120? Deal ! And he begins to work. I’m still discussing things with my partner and Daniel asks to speak with me, where he finally understands where my numbers where coming from and he decides the final price was $190. I’m thinking that’s a HUGE jump from 150-120 and now 190. I’m very confused and he breaks down the pricing which sounds correct once the $109 consultation fee, $45 labor, and the button itself was $40. Like this would not have been such a huge issue if Daniel knew what he was talking about from the jump. Especially if the technician is the one charging people, shouldn’t they be well versed in the pricing? I just thought the back and forth was ridiculous.

From start to finish Lanes made my appliance buying experience wonderful. Jim and Sara were friendly and knowledgeable. Sara gave me information on both washers I was looking at without trying to sway me one way or another. She called to ensure I was ready for delivery and gave me my window to expect my new washer. Marquis and Matt called when they were on their way and greeted me when they got here. They made carrying a washer to the basement look so easy. They made sure my washer was set up, functioning properly, level, and made sure I knew how to use it before leaving. Great staff all around and a great experience! I highly recommend Lane's!
