Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Went to Ollies Flint and had hard time finding anything worth buying. Decided to buy some candy on way out. Total rang up $2.99. We gave cashier $3.00 cash. She gave us receipt. I asked for my change - one penny? The cashier said they do not have pennys. I said then give me a nickel? Cashier said NO, we would be losing money. Why is it OK for customers to lose money but not a business? Ollies Flint looks as if they are GOING OUT OF BUSINESS. The store is DIRTY, unorganized, and has NOT restocked in months. Ollies Flint does NOT have cheap prices anymore! Ollies has RAISED their prices and are as expensive if not more than retail.

June the “front end speaclist” needs to be moved to the back. She was EXTREMELY rude, told me to hurry up because I stopped for 2 seconds to cough. Then I proceeded to put my stuff on the counter like she wanted me to and told me I need to slow down even tho before that she told me to hurry up. Definitely makes me not want to come back being treated like that. June should not be interacting with customers.

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has some unique discounted items that you might not find anywhere else. The store is a bit like a huge rummage or yard sale. I did not even know this store existed until someone suggested I might find some specific socks I was searching for a birthday gift. I had a bit of trouble understanding the layout of the store. They do offer a discount card and points. The cashier was friendly, but there was not a lot of personnel within the store.

Today, 2/13/17, was my first trip to Ollie's, and I'm glad I finally went. The store definitely isn't anything fancy. But with all the merchandise available at cheap prices, the store doesn't have to be fancy. I'm guessing the majority of the merchandise might be discontinued items, but I'm not sure. However, there's a ton of stuff to check out!
