I spent $8,000.00 Yoder El Dorado smoker- paid in full months prior to saying it would arrive prior the 4th of July. I was notified of course of the massive delay only after I paid in full ( naturally) . I will say that Yoder then apologized saying the issue was on them for the manufacturing- fine- but why take all the money up front? free loan???$$$$$$ I was then contacted by Joe Phillips ( all things bbq whom handles the distribution of the smokers when you buy direct from Yoder) stating that it was important to make sure i was taken care of for my personal experience. He then turned into a ghost- after weeks of leaving me in the dark i contacted him- he again said my business was important to him and that he would get back to me in a week after the weeks of ghosting me. In true Yoder Smokers and Joe fashion- he never did. I did say i would not take money- i am not trying to extort someone here. After Joe again failed to keep his own word- i reached back out to me and threw $250 store credit at me to go away- i never accepted it nor asked for money. If you want to pay $8,000.00 in full only to be let down months later by both Yoder Smokers and Joe Phillips with All things BBQ- you too should loan Yoder Smokers money so they can build your BBQ/Smoker on your dime. Every letter and syllable is factual and real. This is an honest review/ experience. Lesson: never pay these guys anything more than a small deposit - otherwise you are funding the company - clearly hurting for CASH$$
