Whittier Small Appliance Sewing & Vacuum

If I could have given this place zero stars, I would have. Long story short, I drove across town to take my sister here( the manufacturer recommended it) we got there early. He was supposed to open at 10am, wasn't any signs of someone getting ready to open, so we both called and left messages, trying to see if he was going to be late or if he was even still in business. No response. We waited a total of 45 minutes before we found somewhere else to take her item. I finally got a call back on my line an hour later. No apology or anything. But still wanted our business. No sir. That's horrible customer service.

This shop is great because Carl is reliable, no-nonsense and knows his trade well. He's fixed our vacuum and he just got my wife's great grandmothers Singer 15-91 sewing machine back to proper running condition, including the electric motor system. I'm a buy-it-once-for-life person, so I'd rather have something repaired over and over than buy a new product, and Carl's knowledge keeps me moving forward on this value. I've occasionally stopped by early in their Open Hours window and found a locked door, so I just call before heading over.

Wow, so grateful!!! My case failed and I dropped my sewing machine from waist high.... wouldn't turn on. Carl listened to what happened, and said he would take care of it. He was not kidding! He called really fast saying it was all fixed. Such a relief, this machine is not made anymore, and I don't want another one. This machine made every suit I ever wore. It made my wedding dress. And my kids Halloween costumes. We have a history. And thanks to this wonderful shop it will continue. Thank you so much!!! 11 out of 10.

Took my 1980’s Electrolux vacuum, for repair as it shut off on me. Charged me $118.95 to fix it, left it like new, took it almost at closing time and was ready the next morning by 10:44 , he called that it was ready. Can’t wait to have the time to take my carpet cleaner. Had taken it to another shop Last year for a tune up they quoted me $250.00

This is the first time I've brought in something other than my vacuum for service and was I surprised and pleased with Carl's fast, expert repair. I had been trying to replace a lamp part and I really made a mess of it. I thought it was a lost cause. But he was able to fix it like it was brand new, very quickly, and for a great price. I love this shop!
