Habitat for Humanity ReStore Concord

We wanted to donate an expensive solid wood Ethan Allen piece of furniture in excellent condition to the store for resale, and were told it would be $225 for the pickup fee. Our aim was to help a charity and keep this out of the landfill. On arrival the driver told us it would be an extra $100 recycling fee if it wasn't accepted at the other end. So our bill ended up at $325 for this company to basically trash our furniture. I am extremely disappointed and angry that we were not informed that this could happen. We would have kept the furniture had we known. I would not recommend this company nor ever use it again. Beware.

Beware. Came to donate a working washer, and called ahead to make sure they would take it. The operator said if it was working they’d take it. I load it up and drive over and the supervisor said they would not take appliances over 5 years old. We explained no one said this on the phone. The supervisor seemed to have a power trip about this too, which just made things worse, adding insult to injury when this was their mix up. We wasted over an hour, trying to give this to someone who can use this. I’ve volunteered at Habitat about 5 times, donated, and brought over 20 people to help build homes in the past, and frankly I was offended by the communication and organization at this location.

First time at Habitat for Humanity ReStores, a non-profit organization that helps people in need build new houses. I always wanted to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity but never got the chance. Habitat for Humanity ReStores is perfect for anyone who wants to remodel their home but lacks the funding. Most of the products here are donated and are super affordable. The money or "so-called profits" goes back to helping the organization. Win-win! Ok I'm tired. Go check them out when you get the chance.

Great place! Never knew it was there. They have a little bit of everything. (No clothing). Paint items. Hardware. Furniture. Bathroom items. Towel racks. Most of the furniture is large. The store does not deliver but they have a list at the front desk of people who you can call for delivering. I really enjoyed searching around the store to see what they have. It is arranged nice and neatly. They don't always have the same things so you can go back over and over. The staff are very nice and helpful.
