What scratch and dent means, and what to check
A scratch-and-dent appliance is new, with cosmetic damage, usually from shipping, and sells below the same model new. Before you buy in Olympia: check that the damage sits somewhere your installation hides and not on a door seal, hinge, frame or corner; open and close every door and check the unit sits level; and get the warranty status in writing, since a unit sold as-is may carry none.
