We purchased a dishwasher from Toronjo Appliances in September 2025 with a three-month warranty. The first unit failed in November 2025. A replacement was provided in January 2026, but the new unit developed the same issue within a few weeks. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, the issue was not resolved. The company also attempted to charge us for additional service, even though the defect had already been reported under warranty. To avoid further disruption for our tenants, we had to purchase a new dishwasher at our own expense. A formal complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). We later found other companies, such as APPLIANCES 4 LESS, that appear to offer new appliances with minor cosmetics defects, a one-year warranty, and competitive pricing, sometimes at similar or lower prices. We are sharing this experience to help other consumers avoid similar issues. The company remains polite but continues to provide the same responses without resolving the problem. Update: Following the owner’s response, I would like to clarify that the BBB case was closed for administrative reasons due to a missed deadline for providing additional information, and not because the issue was actually resolved. I also want to clarify that my experience is not isolated, as other customers have reported similar situations in their reviews. As the issue was still not resolved, I eventually had to purchase a new dishwasher from Appliances 4 Less, and I do not regret that decision ( good warranty , good price, good product and good customer service).

We originally purchased our refrigerator from this business a few years ago and had a good experience, which is why we chose to return to them for a paid diagnostic when it recently stopped working. We also made a point to support a local business close to our home. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing and not what we expected as repeat customers. We paid for a diagnostic, but only after payment were we told they typically do not work on units that have had parts replaced by someone else—even though the refrigerator is long out of warranty (it only had a 90-day warranty when purchased). That policy was not disclosed upfront. We were then told we would receive a call the next morning to schedule service. No call came through. When I followed up the next day at 9:03 AM, my call went directly to voicemail, and a follow-up text message was not returned. Additionally, I was told previously that a call had been made to me, which is not accurate. I had my phone and earpiece with me the entire day and there is no record of any missed call. To be clear, we were not asking for warranty coverage or responsibility—only a paid diagnostic to determine what was wrong. Instead, we were left with no communication and no service after payment. Most of the positive reviews appear to reflect appliance purchases, which was also our initial experience. However, the level of communication and follow-through for service did not match that standard.

I bought a washer from Toronjo Appliances about 5 years ago and still works like new. I recently bought a refridgerator from Toronjo and it failed the first month. They honor theyre guarantee and fixed it. The refridgerator now works beautifully, A very good company for used appliances. Highly recommend!!
