This is the second appliance we bought and had installed through Morehouse. They are competent, have great prices and efficiently remove and put in appliances within an hour, first the stove/oven and yesterday the dishwasher. We are pleased with the products, service of both the salesman Tony and the installers and love giving local business our business.

The owner Chris was kind, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond for us. The salesman Bill was amazing. He was not pushy like your normal salesman. Bill was personable, and answered all questions honestly. It was the best experience we’ve had in a very long time. Thank you both again!!

Great buying experience! Knowledgeable sales rep., who answered our questions on the spot with great expertise, as well as being amiable. Delivery was speedy and the installer was ahead of schedule. Couldn’t ask for better, and we know we can get service if needed after the sale.

My name is Jack Stephens, and I’m a middle-aged man with a generally sunny disposition and an inclination to give people the benefit of the doubt. That inclination was thoroughly dismantled the moment I walked into Morehouse Appliances. Logically speaking, an appliance store and repair company should contain appliances that function and people who know how to repair them. Morehouse Appliances appears to reject this logical framework entirely. From the moment I entered, I was berated—not aggressively, mind you, but in that slow, weary way that suggests the staff resents your continued existence on their premises. The store itself has a decaying atmosphere, and I don’t mean “charmingly old.” I mean wires, parts, and boxes strewn about with such enthusiasm that I found myself whispering, “you could really get hurt in here” to no one in particular. At one point, I had to physically say “let me sneak right by you” as I navigated between a broken washer and what I believe was once a refrigerator but has since given up on life. When I asked a simple question about a repair timeline, I was met with a response that was neither helpful nor related to the question. It felt less like customer service and more like a philosophical debate about why things break and why I shouldn’t expect them not to. In summary, Morehouse Appliances is the only place I’ve visited where my initial inclination to be patient was replaced by a strong desire to exit safely and reconsider my life choices. Logically, I will not be returning. I value my appliances, my time, and frankly, my physical well-being too much.

We had to replace our dishwasher. The top rack broke and figured why waste time replacing the rack, we will buy a new one. Of course this had to happen to us right before the holidays. After two days of research with Lowes, Best Buy, Home Depot, I remembered Morehouse up on that corner there, passed it a hundred times or more. We can't say more about how good an experience we had from start to finish. We didn't even go into the store. The purchase was made over the phone, I asked only for a photo of the slide for the top rack as I was looking for a telescoping slide without push in snaps that eventually would break due to hard water, use, and heat. They had the machine I wanted. Bill was our sales agent, and took two photos for me, sent them along via text message, and we settled the sale over the phone. We were told we would receive the dishwasher within 2 to 4 weeks. We ordered I believe on Dec 19th, and received it on New Years Eve. The installer arrived timely in the mid morning and in no time at all we were up and running. The dishwasher is hardwired. The process was easy, shut the electric, remove the old washer, hook up the new one, etc., took the old one away for a reasonable rate. A request was made to keep the cushion batting we had along with the product supplied thin sheet cover, and after checking to see if it would negate the warranty we discovered that it would not as long as there was no tight bunching around the machine and at the door. I have high counter cabinets, and the legs on the dishwasher were adjustable, so I had no issues with keeping with the warranty and of course making sure we called morehouse to confirm permission to do this. Ok so GE flips the bill! Cleans beautifully. I was surprised that my coffee pot that I hand scrub the white plastic portion came out really good in this dishwasher. It is running quietly, no issues. The dishwasher door is lighter making this product easy to handle with less physical strain. Morehouse also honored our request to have a flat door instead of towel handle, and that is most likely why it took a couple of weeks. We were NOT charged extra for a white door as the other businesses do charge more for white which we find ridiculous. Thank you Morehouse for a terrific experience with an online over the phone purchase that didn't interrupt my holidays with traveling up there from my location near Hamilton. We had our two furry inspectors give us the nose up on this one! To add: The entire purchase was under a $1,000. Compared to what we were looking at at other businesses, our purchase for this particular product would have been over $1200 from start to finish.
