Our landlord purchased a brand-new stacked washer and dryer from Builders Source Appliance Gallery.
1. The new dryer was defective immediately. As soon as the technician plugged in it made a horrible noise and he said it’s making noise, but you can still use it😩
2. We had to wait approximately 3–4 days for a service technician.
Rather than immediately exchanging a brand-new appliance that was defective upon delivery, Builders Source scheduled an appliance repair technician to inspect it.
3. The technician found physical damage to the dryer.
When the technician inspected the dryer, he could see that the back of the unit had been smashed/damaged. He explained that he could order approximately six different parts to repair it, but essentially told us that Builders Source had delivered us a defective unit.
At this point, it was clear the dryer had been delivered to us in a damaged condition.
4. Builders Source agreed to exchange the defective unit.
We then waited approximately another 7–10 days for Builders Source to bring us a replacement unit.
5. Builders Source arrived with the replacement but couldn’t complete the exchange because they didn’t know they had to go upstairs.
This is absolutely infuriating because it’s an exchange. You brought the unit here in the first place. 😡 So here we are going on 4 weeks without a unit because you delivered us a piece of garbage a month ago.
I’m not even going to get into how many places they damaged the wall upon delivery.
If it were Lowe’s or Home Depot, we would’ve had a new unit the next day. I’d definitely avoid this place.
