Karl's Appliance

When my Maytag washing machine kicked the can, my repairman recommended a SpeedQueen and told me the best place to buy it is at Karl's/Fergusons. I am glad I took his advice. The model I bought, a TR7, is so far working like a dream. The sales team at Karl's particularly Ryan, were easy to work with, knowledgeable about what they sell and didn't give me any upsell. They also gave me the lowest price available. Five stars -- this is why it pays to buy local!!!

Over the years, I have purchased numerous appliances for my home and rental units from Joe Holihan at Karl’s Appliance, and I have never been disappointed. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and I can’t say enough about his customer service. We recently had an issue with a Frigidaire refrigerator and he was able to rectify the issue above and beyond our expectations. When I need an appliance, the only person I will call is Joe. He is more than a salesperson, he has become a friend.

This was the worst customer experience I have ever had. I went about a month ago and as others have pointed out no one wanted to help me. I was looking to redo my kitchen, all new appliances. George unwillingly finally helped us. He was surly and unhelpful. He was not very knowledgeable although he stated on four occasions he had been selling ovens for 30 years. In the end he hand wrote the appliance we were looking at, not ven typed or a printout. I left without buying. Went to Madison store which was a better experience. I returned to Orange to buy. They were very unhelpful and told me they could not take my money. I had to complete a form and someone would call me back within a week to take my payment info. What kind of store does not want to make a 5 figure purchase? This one. Everyone who works there is awful, no people skills and horrible attitude. If it was not for the savings on the sales tax I would not know how they would still be in business. If I was purchasing a single item I would eat the savings to never have to deal with the people again.

I was very happy with my purchase at Karl's. I did a lot of research and was pleased to find a previous year's Miele model available at Karl's that was $400 off. I had heard positive things about Karl's from neighbors due to the lower tax rate. The delivery and installation service they outsourced to was great. We had no trouble getting a refund for the extended warranty which we realized after the fact we didn't need because of the extra warranty with our credit card. Very happy with the experience and would go here again.
