I purchased a washer and dryer from this store, but unfortunately, the appliances did not work properly. I was not immediately aware of the issue because the appliances were installed at a rental property, and I was notified by my tenant that the dryer was not working. Once I was made aware, I had to have the unit assessed to determine whether the issue was related to installation or the appliance itself, which delayed my ability to report the problem to the store.
When I contacted the warranty agency, I was informed that the warranty would not cover the issue because they considered it a “dead on arrival” appliance. I was then told that the store would not replace the unit because it was outside of their replacement timeframe. However, during my initial conversation with the same representative, I was told that if I could provide a picture of the error message, they would consider replacing it. After obtaining the requested picture (attached), the representative changed his response, refused to assist, and was extremely rude throughout the conversation.
What was most frustrating was that the representative acknowledged that the washer and dryer were provided to me in a non-working condition, yet continued to tell me that my only option was to pay for a repair. I understand that policies exist, but expecting a customer to pay out of pocket to repair an appliance that was sold defective and arrived unusable is unacceptable.
I am disappointed with the lack of customer service, the inconsistent information provided, and the unwillingness to take responsibility for selling a defective product. I would not recommend purchasing appliances from this store based on my experience.
