Action Appliance Parts and Services

Action Appliance technician James Canfield of New Milford CT arrived when scheduled. He was cordial and professional. Extremely knowledgeable concerning my GE Monogram 48 side by side built in refrigerator. He diagnosed and repaired the electronics. He additionally inspected both units for any other or possible future malfunctions. He fully explained Action Appliance’s policies and fees for the service provided. Excellent service. I recommend them highly.

I feel taken advantage of by Action Appliance. We had a washer that needed a new pump and they came and diagnosed the problem, and charged $163.73 to do so. They then gave me an estimate of $800 additional (or $650 if I helped them lift the washer). This was clearly too high and felt it was in bad faith. They clearly didn’t want the job but wanted to keep the deposit for the house call. I called another vendor, Total Fix-it-Pro who did the job same day for less than $300 including parts and house call with no assistance from me (see attached). I feel ripped off by Action Appliance. I’ve attached the estimate from the other vendor.
