Ace Hardware at Austin Bluffs

I have put off getting a duplicate truck key made since I bought my vehicle in 2018, mostly due to the cost of a "chipped" key at the dealership. (I'd been quoted almost $400). I phoned this Ace store & spoke to Cindy, who was polite & friendly. She transferred me to Crystal, equally nice & helpful. When I arrived at the store, Crystal was on break, so an awesome gentleman named Ron took over. He explained the process & the cost, placed my special order, went thru the explanation of getting the key programmed when it arrives, and was overall fantastic. Customer service professionals, all 3 of these folks. Hats off to the team at Ace on Austin Bluffs! *** Edited to add, today I phoned to set up the programming appointment, and spoke to another gem. He tells me they call him Mr. Steve, and again, a knowledgeable, friendly gentleman who was happy to help! This store is batting a thousand!

It was almost closing time, and I really wanted some simple things fasteners to hang my new projector. I had one set already, and needed 3 more. The person at the door was prompt. Ask me if I needed any help. I showed them the one unit I did have, and they were quick to find three more just like it. Thanks to them, I was able to hang my projector. One of the best Ace hardware locations in town as far as customer service goes.

Ron helped me with selecting a TV antenna to place outside my house a week ago, and he was at the store when I picked it up this evening. Ron was very helpful throughout. I was in awe every time - till this antenna purchase - when I walked in with my list of project needs, and found EVERY thing that I needed. I guess I understand not having TV antennas in stock. I have not shopped for kitchen sinks at this Ace, so I’m not sure if they are stocked (yet). I read a recent review about your store not having a bike rack for customers. I second that: I live about a mile away. The one time that I biked to your store, I asked if I could bring my bike inside (because it cost several times more than my first used car), and the cashier quickly said Yes. Thank goodness, right? I’m pretty sure that some other local customers would like to bike up to your store to shop, but not having a sturdy, safe and convenient bike rack is not helping anybody. Thank you!

They have saved me on several occasions when I did not have time to wait for an online order, and their prices are on par as well. I've found items ranging from a furnace flame sensor to a wrench and pipe dope for the kitchen sink. Their inventory is quite extensive, featuring a nice selection of paint and garden utilities, and they even fill propane tanks. The staff is helpful and friendly, and they offer a military discount."
