What an appliance outlet sells, and what to check
An appliance outlet sells new units that left the normal retail channel: open-box returns, floor models, overstock and scratch-and-dent. Before you buy in Ann Arbor: ask which of those the unit is, confirm in writing when its warranty started, check the box against the model's contents list, and ask about returns and delivery charges.
